couples to receive more information about our services and the adoption process in general. Individuals and/or couples are strongly encouraged to attend an orientation meeting before attending the Educational
Training. There is no fee for this meeting and registration is not required but would be appreciated.

Family Resource Center will be offering throughout the year to individuals and couples who are interested in adoption. The training is an 16-hour class developed by Lutheran Social Services of Washington and Idaho
and by the Minnesota Adoption Resource Network (M.A.R.N.). There is a $100/person fee for the training.

Permanent Family Resource Center has two Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians on staff to train child care providers (daycare, foster care, etc.) in proper installation, selection and use of various child
passenger restraints. In October 2005, the Minnesota Department of Human Services issued a new statute that all child care providers need to obtain 3-hrs. of Child Passenger Safety. In addition to this
training, we offer a 1-hour training on Shaken Baby Syndrome and SIDS. There is a $25/person fee for this 4-hour training.
